Description

I just finished my detective artwork called Detective P2T "Who's the Culprit", Just make fun one of my photo and submit in one of my groups. . .. and before anything else welcome to another world of my drawing style. . . and this is my Second P2T edited Quick - Tips Tutorials.

Before we start. . . Let me remind you, that you need to keep yourself out of the box. Always have a great inspiration like the one I did in this art piece of mine.

As you notice, the one his holding-on is a picture of me. and that was the my reference to begin my drawing with. I am not a super Artist who have an ability of great anatomy at all times, sometimes I always fail. . . but being a failure is not a reason to give up. . . it is a challenge to fight for your own ability to listen and learn from others, get more inspiration and get more references. like the one I did. . . I pose myself and took a picture of me using my crappy cellphone camera. and last more practice. . . yah where the same as you are. . . i keep practicing to become a better artist like others and all awesome artist here in DA.

anywayz let's art. talk about the art piece I made.

first of all, I don't used any pen/graphic tablet for this artpiece. . . simply because i don't have them. hehehe. and who said you can't do better artworks using optical mouse. . . well then I'm the one who will said to you. . . . YOU CAN!!!

1. the upper picture is a lineart I made, the truth about it. . -I just merge the two linearts to make a better perspective and point of view. . . for you to visualized the Idea.
-I draw them separately because it's too hard to draw backgrounds where there's a lineart finished. I just merge them using Photoshop.
-Focus in the background noticed the depth and perspective of the angle.

2. Using Photoshop. . . Put a texture, Shadowing, Highlights (using source of light came from street lamp)
-Use every PS tool in making a dripping and folds of the clothes ( I always used blur, smudge, brushes, eraser, and burn tools in PS).
-Do not hesitate to become more addictive making background like I do because it's useless. i am just an arrogant making silly things and then blur them at the end (if you noticed in figure 3).
-Make a time effort making it in grayscale, because it's to easy to pick a color using gray to a 100% black.

3.In the first place let me tell you a story from my experience. . . i always buy a book and tutorials. . . I didn't understand at first why other artist starts at grayscale. . .
when the sign of God shine upon me and find my new friend :iconthe-hand: here in DA, he was a Filipino too like me who have a power to do awesome artworks. I saw one of his Tutorials on starting a grayscale to full colored it was too easy. . . after then. so this Tutorial I made is just for you and also It's my first practice for using my friend technics.
-It's so easy after you finished and balance all of you lights and shadowing you just put a color/layer over of the base layers and make it "overlay" effects and then, adjust hue/saturations, levels and etc to make them more natural. . . and of course before you do anything else make a back-up layers like I always do before I proceed. because the history of Photoshop (ctrl+alt+z) is limited. just keep in touch for decisions for your art pieces. . . good luck.

Note: Basically this is not a complete tutorials of this art piece. This is just a tips on how I create them. few week from now. . . I am preparing to create a complete and detailed tutorial. Every-time I do this artwork (witch basically my first practice for new style) I snap shot them so that I can create a much longer version and detailed tutorials. This is just a work in progress.
